This site is mikeforgie.biz. It is run by me, Mike Forgie, through my company Next Step Connect LLC, 600 4th Ave, Asbury Park, New Jersey 07712.

The plain version of everything below: I collect what you hand me, I use it to help you and to talk to you, I do not sell it, and you can have it deleted by asking.

When you book a call, fill in a form, or email me, I receive what you type. That is usually your name, your email address, your phone number, your business name, and whatever else you decide to tell me about your situation.

I keep our conversation afterwards, because that is how I remember what we already covered instead of asking you twice.

The visibility check asks for your business name, the city you are in, up to two more places you serve, and the services you provide. It then runs real searches against AI assistants using those details and shows you what comes back.

Those searches go out to the companies that run those AI assistants. The business details you type are sent to them as part of the question, the same way they would be if you typed the question in yourself. Do not put anything confidential into that form.

The score is shown to you before you give me anything else. To see the full result, including which businesses are being recommended instead of yours, you give me your name, email address and phone number.

Like nearly every site, this one records your internet address, your browser and device type, which pages you looked at, how long you stayed, and the site or search that sent you here.

I do not sell your information, rent it, or pass it to other companies so they can market to you.

This site sets no cookies of its own. The pages you read, the visibility check and the result are all delivered without one.

If you allow analytics on the banner, Google Analytics tells me which pages people read and where they arrived from. It does not tell me who you are, and it does not run at all unless you say yes.

Saying yes also turns on Microsoft Clarity, which records how people move through a page so I can see where a layout is confusing. It records scrolling and clicking, not keystrokes, and what you type into the visibility check or the unlock form is masked before it leaves your browser. Like analytics, it does not run unless you say yes.

Pages with video on them load that video from YouTube, and YouTube sets its own cookies once you press play. The result page draws its map from a mapping service, which receives the request but sets no cookie.

The booking calendar runs on GoHighLevel and sets its own cookies, but only once you open it.

You can change your answer any time from the Cookies link at the bottom of any page, and you can clear or block anything in your browser settings.

Vercel hosts this site and its server logs. Upstash stores your visibility check result for thirty days. GoHighLevel holds the booking calendar and the customer records. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity receive site usage only if you allow it. YouTube receives video playback data on pages where a video appears. The search services the visibility check queries receive the business details you enter as part of the search, the same way they would if you typed the question yourself.

Each of those companies has its own privacy policy and its own practices. I do not control them.

Your visibility check result is deleted automatically thirty days after you run it. The link to it is unguessable, but anybody you forward it to can open it, so treat it as yours to share. Contact details you give me are kept for up to 24 months unless you ask me to delete them sooner, and email conversations are kept while we are talking and afterwards for my own records.

You can ask what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, tell me to stop sending you email, or opt out of analytics tracking through your browser.

The California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information has been collected about you, to have it deleted, and to not be treated differently for exercising either right. I do not sell personal information. Use the contact details above and I will handle it.

The site runs over an encrypted connection. Forms and customer records sit inside GoHighLevel behind access controls, and I limit who can see them to the people who need to.

No system is perfect, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. What I can promise is that I keep the number of places your information lives as small as I can.

This is a site for business owners. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and I do not knowingly collect information from children.

Any change gets posted here with a new date at the top. If a change is significant and I have your email address, I will tell you rather than making you notice.
